Verified ReviewerThis company is SCAMMING vulnerable people!
I've just discovered this organization has been charging my mother $10 at a time, multiple times a month. She's getting older and is very vulnerable to these kinds of scams and it looks like someone got her.
There is a special place in *** for these people who prey on the charity and goodwill of unsuspecting strangers. I'm calling my mother's bank now to dispute the charges.

Verified ReviewerResolved: NEED assistance asap
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund.
I recently had a similar experience where a salesperson approached me and I was totally willing to donate! I gave my $30 as it was the cheapest they offered to me and when I received a confirmation email I noticed that it said REOCCURRING payment.
I was not told about this so I'm hoping that by posting a poor review, I'll be able to be contacted soon. I've tried calling for multiple days since my donation and emailing twice.
I swear the answering machine must be fake. I need to talk to a real person and have my subscription cancelled ASAP.
- Nice company
- Poor communication

I tried talking to the helpline person and told them my parent was verbally abusing me for a while now. The response I got was that this type of parenting is normal.
I got upset and tried telling them that he's done so many things that are not normal.
The response I got was, 'Well, you didn't tell me what he did that was so bad,' in quotation marks, as if I was lying! If you want to waste your time here, go ahead.
- Respond fast on the hotline
- Dont listen to you and what youre going through

Fraud
I agreed to donate one time of $30 when they were outside a store. ONE TIME.
They have been charging me monthly $30 for two years without my permission.
I never subscribed. DO NOT DONATE TO THEM if you see them asking for money IGNORE them.
User's recommendation: Do not talk to them do NOT donate

Verified Reviewer |"Formal Complaint: Unauthorized Recurring Charges from ChildHelp"
I am writing this review to express my utter frustration and disappointment with ChildHelp. Recently, I encountered representatives from this organization outside my local hardware store who were soliciting donations for abused children.
As a compassionate individual, I gladly donated, believing my contribution would support a noble cause. However, to my absolute dismay, I discovered that ChildHelp has been charging my credit card monthly as if I had signed up for a recurring donation. This is completely unacceptable! At no point was I informed or did I agree to any form of recurring payment.
This feels like a deceitful and underhanded tactic to exploit the goodwill of generous donors. I am livid that an organization claiming to help vulnerable children would resort to such unethical practices. This experience has severely damaged my trust in ChildHelp and has made me question their integrity and the legitimacy of their operations. I demand an immediate cancellation of these unauthorized charges and a full refund of the amounts taken without my consent.
Potential donors, beware!
Ensure you are fully aware of what you are signing up for, as ChildHelp clearly does not prioritize transparency or honesty. This kind of behavior is appalling and should not be tolerated from any charitable organization.
- Child help is deceitful unethical unprincipled etc
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: STAY AWAY! Be cautious and always verify the details before making a donation to any organization. Transparency and honesty are crucial, and unfortunately, ChildHelp did not meet these standards in my case.

Verified Reviewer |Labor Abuse Don't Donate!
I met an employee from this company/representing this company today. The employee was nice and friendly.
I got offered to donate a backpack for abused children. After a nice conversation, the employee mentioned that they don't get paid hourly, they get paid cash and it's commission only. I asked so how much do they get per backpack donation (Since they're supposedly a non-profit organization) the employee said, if the person that donates doesn't pay state taxes we get $4 for backpack. No benefits, not legally employed and it's commission only!
They're goal is 20-30 backpacks per day. The employee stated that he/she has been working since 9am - 10:30pm that was when I decided to help out so that the employee can go home. This is abuse!!! They're abusing young people with hopes that they will get big bucks in the future, until they realize this isn't right!
I will be submitting a claim and hopefully this company can get investigated. The employees can't even sit down throughout the whole day or take a decent lunch or break or else they get in trouble! The reason I know this is because I noticed that the employee was standing up the whole time for almost 2 hours while I was in the restaurant with my family, so I had to ask why? They're young and get brainwashed with hopes of making an amazing income in the future.
I will also reach out to the companies that hired Tele King Group and others that are working the same way .
This isn't right! This is abuse from unexperienced young kids!
- Abuse of non-experience personel
- Scam and abuse
Preferred solution: Information that needs to be investigated.
User's recommendation: It's a scam and labor abuse for young people!
Total Scam - Do not fall for this like I did.
They continued to charge my CC for months. I finally had to have the cc put a block on this charge because i couldn't get this resolved when reaching out to them.
User's recommendation: Don't fall for this! I think it was backpacks for kids.

Verified ReviewerScam and stealing money
The company was standing outside a business in Austin, TX. They were able to convince me to give a one-time donation of $10.
It turns out this meant they would start charging me monthly and it was impossible to cancel. I never agreed to this. Based on other reviews, no one else agreed to this but experienced the same thing. No one has answered their phones.
I am waiting for a reply via email. If you see this charity, just say no and keep walking for your own financial sake. To ChildHelp, who will reply with just an email or call us and we will help you...go into your inbox. My request to cancel will be there.
There is no need for me to tell you who I am in a public forum.
You should fulfill everyone's request to cancel. More negative reviews will continue until I get the confirmation that it has been cancelled.
- Illegally taking money
- Scam
- Not helping the cause
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Avoid donating. They don't help anyone.
Donation Campaign Ethics
I had the same experience as other reviewers - agreed to provide a one-time donation via credit card, only to discover 4 additional months of recurring charged. At no point in the solicitation process was I told this would be recurring.
In fact, I insisted this was a single donation and the individual concurred. I have left a phone message and sent an immediate cease and desist memo, so we will see.
Also blocked with my bank. Very disappointed in the tactics of an organization I had always believed in.
User's recommendation: Donate cash only and get a receipt.

Als ik in het ANBI-register van de Belasting zoek is Child-Help niet te vinden. Zou een ANBI stichting zijn.
SCAM- Illegal type behavior
I was confronted by one of ChildHelp's employees or volunteers outside of Grimaldi's pizza in Chandler. When I asked how much to donate, the representative said $20 would be great.
So, I said, 'Sure, I'd like to give $20'. I get home and check my credit card statement and the charge is for $30! It's not terrible; it's only $10 but to LIE about how much I was charged. That's scam vibes number one!
Then, I check my emails and come to find out she signed me up for a monthly charge!! Meaning, this was going to be a recurring charge above what I was comfortable donating even ONE time! At no point did the representative mention this would be a recurring charge. Do better, ChildHelp.
Scammy behavior like this is the reason people don't want to donate to charity. SHAME ON YOU!!
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: DON’T DONATE
Scammed and lied to
Same story as everyone else on here. Paid a ONE-TIME donation for a backpack or an apparent abused child and noticed today that for the last 5 months they have been pulling 30 dollars a month WITH-OUT my authorization.
I am going to file a police report and don't bother calling "lindsey" as she doesn't exist. look for the number 602-635-****, Shame on these people.
I made a one time donation of $30 and every other month they are still taking $30 out of my account for over a year now almost 2 years and I don’t know how to get it stopped without changing my card I
I think its a very dishonest program whoever runs it
Very dishonest, program stealing from people who tried to help who dont have nothing themselves, always taking money out of their accounts unauthorized
User's recommendation: Never donate

Verified Reviewer |Childhelp informs everyone that the hotline is a continuous charge.
I feel the complaints are unwarranted. Its easy to cancel the hotline subscription.
The number to call is on your receipt. How more easy could it be. Some people just complain cause theyre hard to deal with.
Childhelp doesnt want to mislead anyone. Some reps may have misled you, but Childhelp will correct your concerns.
